N, n-dimethylacetamide, also known as acetyl dimethylamine, acetyl dimethylamine, referred to as DMAC, is an aprotic highly polar solvent, with a slight ammonia odor, strong solubility, a wide range of soluble chemicals, can be miscible with water, aromatic compounds, esters, ketones, alcohols, ethers, benzene and trichloromethane, etc. And can activate the compound molecules, so it is widely used as a solvent and catalyst.

Dimethylacetamide (DMAc or DMA) is the organic compound with the formula CH₃C(O)N(CH₃)₂. This colorless, water-miscible, high-boiling liquid is commonly used as a polar solvent in organic synthesis. DMA is miscible with most other solvents, although it is poorly soluble in aliphatic  hydrocarbons.
