Dihexadecyl methylamine(MA1616) is the main raw material for the production of cationic quaternary ammonium salt. It can be reacted with benzyl chloride to produce double-chain benzyl quaternary ammonium salt D1617. It is widely used in bentonite, disinfectant, and sterilization industry.
Dihexadecyl methylamine(MA1616) can react with quaternized raw materials such as methyl chloride to form double-chain quaternary ammonium salt D1621, which can be used as a bactericide, softener, emulsifier, and surfactant in industries such as pigments, dyes, mineral flotation, water treatment, oil fields, textiles, daily chemicals, bentonite, etc..
Dihexadecyl methylamine(MA1616) can also react with dimethyl sulfate and diethyl sulfate to form gemini quaternary ammonium salt.
