Dimethyl thio-toluene diamine (DMTDA) is an important organic compound, and its CAS number is 106264-79-3.  DMTDA amine is a steric hindrance aromatic diamine.  The steric hindrance effect of methyl groups makes its activity lower than that of toluenediamine (TDA) and diethyltoluenediamine (DETDA), and its reaction rate with the prepolymer is 5 to 9 times longer than that of DETDA.  However, its activity is higher than that of MOCA.  In prepolymers with low NOC content, the pouring time for curing with DMTDA is shorter than that of MOCA.

Dimethyl thio-toluene diamine is a new type of curing crosslinking agent for polyurethane elastomers, mainly used in fields such as polyurethane elastomers, RIM (Reaction Injection Molding), SPUA (spray polyurea elastomers), and adhesives.  Dimethyl thio-toluene diamine can also be used as an epoxy resin curing agent.  Compared with the commonly used MOCA, DMTDA amine is a liquid with lower viscosity at room temperature, which can be applied to construction operations at low temperatures.  It has a low chemical equivalent, and the performance and alkali resistance of the synthesized PU (polyurethane) are superior to those of MoCA-cured products, and the effect of injectable elastomers is even better.  Furthermore, Dmtda amine does not release carcinogens when used at room temperature and is internationally recognized as an environmentally friendly chain extender.
