Dodecyl primary amine is an organic compound classified as a primary amine. It appears as a white to off-white solid with a characteristic amine odor. The compound is readily soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and ether, but has limited solubility in water. Its long hydrophobic carbon chain, combined with a reactive primary amino group, renders it highly valuable in various industrial applications.
Application:
Surfactant & Corrosion Inhibitor: Employed in oilfield chemicals and water treatment formulations to reduce surface tension and prevent metal corrosion.
