Usage:

Used as a raw material for synthesizing medicines, dyes, and resins, and can be used to prepare fertilizer synergists, herbicides, livestock repellents, rubber accelerators, dye intermediates, etc.

Production method:

The preparation method is to use acetaldehyde as raw material, react with ammonia in the gas phase in the presence of a catalyst, and the reaction temperature is 350 to 500°C to obtain the product, and at the same time there is 4-methylpyridine as a by-product.
