Benzoyl chloride is used as a raw material for organic synthesis, dyes and medicines, and is used to manufacture initiators such as dibenzoyl peroxide, tert-butyl perbenzoate, pesticide herbicides, etc. In terms of pesticides, it is a new type of inducible insecticide, isoxathion (Karphos) intermediate. Benzoyl chloride is an important benzoylation and benzylation reagent. Most benzoyl chloride is used to produce benzoyl peroxide, and secondly, it is used to produce important chemical raw materials such as benzophenone, benzyl benzoate, benzyl cellulose and benzamide. Benzoyl peroxide is used as a polymerization initiator for plastic monomers, a catalyst for the production of polyester, epoxy and acrylic resins, a self-condensing agent for glass fiber materials, a cross-linking agent for silicone fluororubber, oil refining, flour bleaching, fiber decolorization, etc. There are more than 20 benzoyl chloride production companies in China, and some benzoic acid manufacturers also produce benzoyl chloride with a production capacity of 10,000 tons.
