Ethoxylated cocoalkylamine, also known as cocoamine polyoxyethylene ether, is a non-ionic surfactant belonging to the polyether-amine polyether class; it ranges from sparingly soluble to soluble in water. It is soluble in organic solvents such as acetone and benzene. It exhibits excellent properties regarding emulsification, dispersion, solubilization, antistatic effects, lubrication, corrosion inhibition, and rust prevention.
The performance of ethoxylated cocoalkylamine is related to the number of EO units in its structure; when the EO count is low, it lacks alkali resistance and exhibits poor compatibility with anionic surfactants.
Ethoxylated cocoalkylamines can be used as antistatic agents, emulsifiers, dispersants, solubilizers, rust inhibitors, and corrosion inhibitors.
