Isophorone diamine is an aliphatic amine used to cure bisphenol-A type epoxy prepolymers; it belongs to the group of epoxy curing agents that includes triethylenetetramine (TETA), 1-(2-aminoethyl)piperazine (AEP), and isophorone diamine (IPD). It is associated with allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) resulting from exposure to epoxy resin systems.
