Laureth (lauryl alcohol polyether) possesses anti-foaming properties. Polyether-based defoamers represent a major category of anti-foaming agents; they are non-toxic, odorless, and non-irritating, exhibit resistance to hard water, acids, and bases, and demonstrate good compatibility with various systems. While their defoaming efficiency may be lower than that of the other primary category—silicone-based defoamers—they are exceptionally effective at suppressing foam formation.
Laureth (lauryl alcohol polyether) possesses anti-foaming properties. In cosmetics, it functions as an antistatic agent and an emulsifier; however, it should be noted that it carries a relatively high risk of causing skin irritation and acne.
