Uses:

Methyl acetate is used as a quick-drying solvent for nitrocellulose and cellulose acetate, and is used in paints and coatings. It is also used in the manufacture of artificial leather and spices, and as an extractant for oils and fats. It is also a raw material for the manufacture of dyes and drugs.
