N,N-diethylaniline has a wide range of uses:
Dye production: Mainly used to produce azo dyes and triphenylmethane dyes, and can prepare a variety of dyes such as basic brilliant green, basic violet, acidic lake blue V, etc.
Pharmaceuticals and pesticides: As an intermediate in the pharmaceutical industry and color film developer, it has a wide range of applications.
Chemical Analysis: It can be used as an analytical reagent to detect metal elements such as zinc and manganese.
Epoxy resin curing: Plays a promoting and catalytic role in the epoxy resin curing system, helping to open the epoxy group and causing the epoxy resin to undergo an electrophilic addition reaction.
Other uses: In actual production, N,N-diethylaniline is also widely used as an acid binding agent in acylation reactions.
N,N-diethylaniline is an important organic compound that is widely used in many fields and provides important support for the development of related industries.
There are many ways to synthesize N,N-diethylaniline. The following are three main synthesis routes:
Method 1:
Raw materials: dppe, nBu2O, Karstedt catalyst, PhSiH3, aniline, n-hexadecane, CH3CO2H.
Step: Dissolve dppe in dry nBu2O, add catalyst, stir and then add other raw materials, stir at room temperature for 18 hours. After completion, it was diluted with ethyl acetate, stirred for 3 hours, and finally purified by silica gel column chromatography to obtain the product.
Method 2:
Raw materials: sodium bis-(trimethylsilyl)amide, triethylamine, bromobenzene.
Step: Mix the ingredients, heat to boiling point, and boil for 8 hours while stirring. After distilling off the solvent, the residue was distilled under reduced pressure to obtain the product.
Each of these methods has its own characteristics, and appropriate synthetic routes can be selected according to specific needs and conditions
