Morphology and basic properties of diethylhydroxylamine
Pure form: colorless and transparent liquid.
Industrial product form: light yellow transparent liquid.
Stability: Stable at room temperature, but prolonged storage or exposure to direct sunlight or exposure to air will cause the color to gradually turn yellow.
Solubility: Easily soluble in water, the aqueous solution is weakly alkaline to litmus paper, and soluble in ethanol, ether, chloroform, benzene and other organic solvents.
Other properties: It will become temporarily cloudy after vigorous shaking and will naturally clear up after a few hours; has an amine smell; is flammable and generates toxic nitrogen oxides, and steam and air can form explosive mixtures; is toxic and irritates the eyes and skin.
Diethylhydroxylamine (DEHA for short) is an organic compound with the chemical formula C4H11NO and a molecular weight of 89.14. It is a medium-strength organic reducing agent and is widely used in chemical production, such as polymerization inhibitors and antioxidants. agents, stabilizers, etc.
Please note that due to the toxicity and flammability of diethylhydroxylamine, relevant regulations should be strictly followed during use and storage to ensure safety.
Uses of diethylhydroxylamine
Chemical Production: As a medium-strength organic reducing agent, diethylhydroxylamine is widely used in chemical production and can be used as a polymerization inhibitor, antioxidant, stabilizer, etc.
Polymerization inhibitor: Used in the production and storage of conjugated olefins such as styrene and divinylbenzene to prevent unexpected polymerization.
Antioxidants: applied to olefin monomers, polyolefins and other organic compounds to extend storage time.
Terminator: Quickly stops or sharply slows down the polymerization reaction to control polymer properties.
Other industrial applications:
Pesticide Industry: As a synthetic raw material for pesticides, fungicides, and herbicides.
Dye Industry: As an important intermediate, it participates in the synthesis of various dyes.
Rubber field: Improve the aging resistance and impact resistance of rubber products.
New Energy: Used as a preparation material for solar panels, providing excellent photoelectric properties.
Pharmaceutical field: important raw materials for the synthesis of certain drugs.
Diethylhydroxylamine plays an important role in many fields, and its application development is still in progress.
