N,N-dimethylacrylamide is a hygroscopic, colorless, transparent liquid. It is irritating and soluble in water, ethanol, acetone, ether, dioxane, N,N’-methylformamide, toluene and chloroform, but insoluble in n-hexane.
Chemical reaction
N,N-dimethylacrylamide has an allyl structure and can undergo addition reaction, free radical polymerization and other chemical reactions under certain conditions. The stability of N,ChemicalbookN-dimethylacrylamide is related to its allyl structure. The allyl structure in the molecule is not easy to react at room temperature, but it is easy to deteriorate under light and heating.
Chemical properties:
Colorless transparent liquid. Irritating. Soluble in water, ether, acetone, ethanol, chloroform, etc.
Uses:
It can be copolymerized with acrylic monomers, styrene, vinyl acetate, etc., and used as a synthetic raw material for fibers, plastic improvers, paper treatment agents, plastic processing aids, etc.
