Applications:
TA 8 is used for the extraction of rare earths and precious metals, as well as the treatment of organic wastewater, and can be used as a cleaning agent in the electronics industry.
The production method uses n-octanol as a raw material and carries out ammoniation in the presence of aluminum trichloride catalyst. The reaction is carried out in a condensation reactor, where ammonia is introduced and the reaction is carried out at 400°C. Excess n-octanol is then removed, and the catalyst is filtered off to obtain the finished product, trioctylamine. Raw material consumption (kg/t): n-octanol 1217, aluminum trichloride 685.
