Chemical property

Green with flash crystals. Soluble in water, extremely soluble in ethanol, all blue-green. The dye appears yellow in concentrated sulfuric acid and turns dark orange after dilution; orange in concentrated nitric acid and orange brown after dilution; the aqueous solution is added with sodium hydroxide to produce a white precipitation with green light. Dyeing of acrylic and diacetate fibers has better fastness to sunlight and other fastnesses (soaping, sweat stains, etc.). The fastness of dyed wool, silk, and cotton fibers is slightly worse.
