It is used as an effective photoinitiator for the polymerization of acrylonitrile (AN), and its polymerization speed is proportional to the 1.62nd of AN concentration and the 0.62nd of DMT concentration. The product is commonly used as a promoter, and in addition it is used as an additive in the synthesis of unsaturated polyesters, bonding agents, etc. Synthesis method: N,N-dimethyl-p-toluidine is synthesized by using dimethyl sulfate as a methylating agent at low temperature and atmospheric pressure. N,4-Dimethyl-N-(3-phenylprop-2-ynyl)benzylamine and N-(methyl(p-tolyl)amino)methyl)benzamide are formed by iron-catalyzed oxidative C-C coupling with phenacetylene and benzamide in the presence of di-tert-butyl peroxide, respectively.
