HDI-TRIMER It is an aliphatic polyisocyanate. It is a colorless to slightly yellow transparent liquid at room temperature.
This product belongs to the class of isocyanurates.

HDI-TRIMER as a raw material for the production of polyurethane, it is mainly used as a curing agent component for light-resistant two-component polyurethane coatings, giving the coatings excellent chemical and weather resistance, outstanding light retention properties and excellent mechanical properties. The ideal co-reactants are polyacrylates, polyester polyols, and alkyd resins.
Coating systems formulated with HDI-Trimer are suitable for self-drying or baking and are used for original equipment paint
(OEM), automotive refinishing, transportation, industrial and plastic finishing.

Precautions for storage
Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. Keep the container sealed. It should be stored separately from oxidizers, acids, bases, alcohols and edible chemicals, and never mixed.。
HDI-TRIMER can be diluted with esters, ketones, aromatic hydrocarbon solvents such as ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, methyl isobutyl ketone, cyclohexanone, toluene, xylene, etc. Generally, it has good miscibility with the above mentioned solvents, but the storage stability of the solutions made must be tested and urethane grade solvents (water content less than 0.05%, no reactive groups such as hydroxyl or amino groups) should be used. Aliphatic hydrocarbons are not suitable solvents.
HDI-TRIMER should not be diluted to less than 40% solids. Solutions with low base content may become cloudy and precipitate after long-term storage.
Shelf life
The product is moisture sensitive and has a shelf life of 15 months when stored in its original airtight container at 0-30°C under cool, dry conditions.
