The Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) and the General Administration of Customs (GAC) jointly issued notice No. 54 of 2020 on the adjustment of the list of commodities prohibited from processing trade, which will take effect on December 1, 2020.

According to the announcement, the list of products prohibited from processing trade in the 2014 Circular No. 90 of the General Administration of Customs of the Ministry of Commerce was removed from the list of products that conform to the national industrial policy and do not belong to products with high energy consumption and high pollution, as well as products with high technical content.

The 199 10-digit codes were excluded, including soda ash, bicarbonate of soda, urea, sodium nitrate, potassium sulfate, titanium dioxide and other chemicals.

At the same time, the way to prohibit some commodities has been adjusted, including 37 10-digit commodity codes, such as needle bituminous coke and dicofol.
