Data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on November 16 showed that in October, the value added of the industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 6.9% year-on-year in real terms, and the growth rate remained the same as in September. From a month-on-month perspective, in October, the added value of industries above designated size increased by 0.78% over the previous month. From January to October, the added value of industries above designated size increased by 1.8% year-on-year.

In terms of economic type, in October, the value added of state-owned holding enterprises increased by 5.4% year-on-year; joint-stock enterprises increased by 6.9%, foreign, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan-invested enterprises increased by 7.0%; private enterprises increased by 8.2%.

In terms of different industries, in October, 34 of 41 major industries maintained year-on-year growth in added value. Among them, the chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry increased by 8.8%, the non-metallic mineral products industry increased by 9.3%, the general equipment manufacturing industry increased by 13.1%, the special equipment manufacturing industry increased by 8.0%, and the automobile manufacturing industry increased by 14.7%.

In terms of products, in October, 427 of the 612 products increased year-on-year. Among them, 2.02 million tons of ethylene, an increase of 16.5%; 2.481 million automobiles, an increase of 11.1%; power generation of 609.4 billion kwh, an increase of 4.6%; crude oil processing volume of 59.82 million tons, an increase of 2.6%.

In October, the product sales rate of industrial enterprises was 98.4%, an increase of 0.8 percentage points from the same month of the previous year; the export delivery value of industrial enterprises was 1,126.8 billion yuan, a nominal increase of 4.3% year-on-year.
