Hydrochloric acid, caustic soda, soda ash, ammonium chloride, chlorine gas, etc., which are the main products of the basic chemical industry, are mainly produced from industrial salt as raw materials. In addition, they are also used in soap manufacturing, ceramics, glass production, household chemicals, oil drilling, drilling and completion fluids, petrochemical dewatering fluids, early-strengthening agents in the construction industry, solidifying agents in the production of paints, latex coagulants in the rubber industry, additives in the paper industry and deinking of waste paper, inorganic chemical raw materials and sulfuric acid root removal agents in the chemical industry, solidifying agents for sodium fucoidan, and in the prevention of decay of wheat, apples, cabbages and other products. It is used as a food preservative, in the production of sodium metal and other sodium compounds, and as a heat treatment medium for steel. Salt is also widely used in water treatment, highway snow removal, refrigeration and cold storage.
